Utopia Nu JavaScript SlideShow Projector is software for the presentation of in place picture shows on web pages. Though visitors have full control over direction, speed, one by one manual, automatic show all once or show all continuously, the handles do not occupy extra space on the web page. Inherent to this design is that the mechanism works best when all pictures are of same width and height. The software confirms to strict xhtml 1.0.

Ergonomical and efficiency features

• Control panel shows actual settings, i.e. blue=off, green=on;
• Control panel moves down out of sight automatically when no longer in use, i.e. when mouse pointer left picture for more than a few seconds;
• Control panel shows up automatically when needed, i.e. when mouse pointer moves over picture;
• Control panel handles show explanatory text in popup areas when mousepointer hovers over the handle;
• Control panel handles show explanatory text on status bar when mousepointer hovers over the handle;
• Complete serie of pictures will only be loaded on request, i.e. only on repeatedly use of Next/Previous or on first time use of Ahead/Astern will force the download of all pictures, so there will be no unnecessary traffic;
• During download of all pictures the use of Ahead/Astern handles show the progress of download, i.e. "x of y downloaded" message pops up;
• Next/Previous handles can be used during download of all pictures, i.e. there is no need to wait for download completed;

• Dynamic dissolve of pictures (blend transitions, MSIE browser only). When proceeding is one by one (use of Prev/Next) blend transition is fixed on a duration of 1 second. When proceeding is automatic (use of Astern/Ahead) blend transition is dynamic. When speed slows down blend transition duration will increase and - vice versa - when speed increases blend transition duration will shorten. On top speed blend transitions are no longer visible.
